It demonstrates how senior managers can steer their organizations; manage people, resources and activities, so that the goals of their organizations as well as their personal goals are achieved. These management skills are not only vital in our ability to meet society’s demands for employment and for provision of goods and services, but are also necessary to ensure survival and profitability of organizations.

The course modules will be selected depending on demand from:

2. The Middle Management Development Programme (PC)

The program is designed to meet the specific needs of middle managers in private and public sectors, including the civil society organizations. The middle manager would typically have 3-5 year’s work experience and is supported by his or her organization.

The objective of this program is to develop highly motivated managers in organizations. Its acronym PC stands for planning and control techniques essential for middle managers, to enable effective utilization of organizational resources at their disposal. The course concentrates on practical aspects of management, aimed at encouraging managers to look for and be motivated by challenge, to make the best use of resources available to them and above all else to learn on the job so that personal development becomes a life-long process, rewarding both the individual and their organization.

The PC-course structure is based on an understanding of the role of a middle manager within the organization.  The course content is also defined by the needs of the individual employees, job requirements, the people in the organization, the resources and structural arrangements of the organization as a whole, including understanding culture, networking and related factors.

3. The Supervisors Development Programme

This course is intended to meet the needs of supervisors or frontline managers in organizations. Supervision is about creating a professional relationship between the supervisor and his subordinate. Supervisors evaluate employees’ performance continuously as an on-going exercise that involves using information from co-workers, customers, and even their peers. Subordinates are most likely to be successful performers when they know what level of performance is considered acceptable, clearly understand their assignments and receive continuous feedback. Supervisors play a pivotal role in this respect.

The course focuses on supervisory skills development, specifically covering key fundamental aspects of supervision. The overall objective of this course is to build capacity for supervisors. The programme will equip delegates with those skills and techniques that will enable them carry out the above functions and further prepare them to assume roles in the middle management level.

4. The Management Development Programme for Personal Assistants

Personal Assistants to top executives are distinguished by their professional skills, confidence and interest in their jobs.  These attributes stem from understanding the functions; objectives, responsibilities and strategic duties undertaken by the top executives for whom they work.  This course is dynamic and a challenge to aspiring executive assistants.

The overall objective of the course is to improve the capability of personal assistants to perform their important duties in support of their superiors. The course will impart modern concepts, principles and approaches for personal assistants; enabling them to understand their role as personal assistants, handle interpersonal relationships; be assertive at work and reduce pressure on the top executive.
